Spring: Amen to That!

There are many things I love about Spring.  I love days with no heater or air conditioner, no need for either.  It is just perfect.  I love flip-flops and sandals and sundresses.  I love lying on a blanket and looking at the sky.  If you have never taken time to do that, you should.  I love flowers, although I usually just view them in yards as I walk through the neighborhood.  I am not much of a “green-thumb”.  I love family gatherings and the food.  I love children running for plastic eggs filled with candy.  I love my sixteen year old in a bunny suit loving on children.  I love girls in new dresses and converses.  I watched with tears as my girls danced on Easter morning, praising Jesus with every move.  I love celebrating what Jesus did for me and you and the world.  “For God so loved the world…”(John 3:16).  Spring is all about new life, a new beginning.  What once was dead is alive again.

Thank you Lord for Spring and the end of Winter.  You may think of winter as just a season or as a season of your life.  If things have been dark and you are finally beginning to see the light, that is Spring.  Spring is here.  Grab on to the Light.  The “Son” is shining.  The warmth of His love is just waiting to fill us with new days.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.  Isaiah 43:19

Never too old for Easter eggs and bubbles

The pictures from the drama at church were taken by Karen Moore.  If you are in need of a photographer, she is one of the best I know!  She is such a blessing to our family.
